WASHINGTON — U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken has reiterated the United States’ commitment to achieving lasting peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan during a phone call with Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Secretary Blinken emphasized that the United States would continue to work tirelessly to support this goal. He pointed to the recent progress in border delimitation between Armenia and Azerbaijan, particularly referencing the joint activities of the Commissions on the delimitation of the state border and the signing of the related Regulation on August 30, 2024, as positive steps in the peace process.
