Uzbekistan and Slovakia Forge New Economic Cooperation Agreement


TASHKENT—In a significant move to bolster bilateral relations, Uzbekistan and Slovakia have formalized a new economic cooperation agreement, which is poised to enhance trade growth and foster business-to-business partnerships.



According to Trend News Agency, the agreement was signed by Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov and his Slovak counterpart, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovakia, Juraj Blanár. Minister Saidov shared his enthusiasm on his Telegram channel, emphasizing that the collaboration between the two nations will yield more tangible outcomes and strengthen bilateral relations. “Business-to-business partnerships, facilitating trade growth, and joint projects will bring more tangible outcomes to bilateral relations,” Saidov remarked.



The meeting where the agreement was signed also covered a range of topics concerning bilateral, regional, and global collaboration. Notably, the two ministers had previously met in March during the Diplomatic Forum in Antalya, where they discussed strengthening ties and future plans for both countries. Minister Saidov expressed his readiness to further expand cooperation at various levels, signaling a robust future for Uzbek-Slovak relations.
