Uzbekistan Seeks to Expand Public Catering Brands Internationally


TASHKENT — Uzbekistan is embarking on an initiative to promote its national public catering brands in international markets. The announcement came during a recent roundtable hosted by Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade, which focused on strategies to expand the nation’s catering enterprises globally.



According to Trend News Agency, the roundtable was presided over by the Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, and witnessed participation from 15 prominent Uzbek catering companies. The event served as a platform for discussing detailed strategies for promoting and supporting national brands beyond domestic boundaries. Entrepreneurs from the catering sector presented over 20 new proposals and initiatives aimed at facilitating this international outreach.



The discussions at the roundtable led to the acceptance of each proposal for further scrutiny and the formulation of requisite organizational actions. Following the meeting, tasked officials were designated the responsibility of drafting a regulatory legal document. This document is expected to include measures for addressing the challenges highlighted by entrepreneurs and will incorporate new initiatives to bolster the presence of Uzbek catering brands in both nearby and distant markets.
