Baku – The Western Azerbaijan Community has issued a statement criticizing the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs for its recent statement regarding the International Court of Justice’s decision dated November 17, 2023.
According to Trend News Agency, as reported by Trend, the community accused France of attempting to align the court’s decision with its own stance, while ignoring Azerbaijan’s ongoing efforts to ensure the rights of all residents, regardless of ethnic and religious background. The community highlighted that Azerbaijan has a clear policy on the return of Armenians from the Karabakh region. Furthermore, the community condemned France’s support for Armenia as inappropriate and provocative, claiming it makes France complicit in Armenia’s alleged crimes against humanity, including violations of the Azerbaijani right of return. The Western Azerbaijan Community pledged to continue exposing what it perceives as France’s neocolonial goals in the region.
