Azerbaijan tightened punishments for sexual exploitation of children

Punishments for sexual exploitation of children have been tightened in Azerbaijan, said Azerbaijan’s National Coordinator for Combating Human Trafficking, First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Police Lieutenant General Seyfulla Azimov during today’s session of Milli Majlis (Parliament), APA reports.

National Coordinator said that those who are suspected of such acts or convicted of such crimes are included in the list of persons subject to mandatory state genome registration: “Involvement of minors in actions against public morals is also defined as an act of criminal composition, criminal liability provisions have been added to the legislation for stalking children for such purposes.”
