Special Representative of the President: Hydroelectric power stations on Hakari River are great support for green energy

‘During the period of occupation, the territories of Azerbaijqn were completely destroyed and planted with mines by the Armenian army. People were displaced from their homes,’ said Masim Mammadov, Special Representative of the President in the Lachin district, which is part of East Zangazur economic district, APA reports.

He said that these are already in history:

‘We are already witnessing the return of residents to Lachin and other liberated territories. Residents are provided with apartments under the order of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. They are given the keys to their homes. We see it in the media as well. Lachin is also an area with great nature. The Hakari River is suitable for usage of the potential opportunities for green energy. Hydroelectric power stations are being built on the river. This is a great support for green energy. With this step, we are also protecting our future.”
