Forces of the Ministry of the Emergency Situations continue fire fighting measures in a mountainous area with complex relief in the directions of Solguca and Abrikh villages of the Gabala district, APA reports citing the website of the MES.

In general, 168 personnel of the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and 5 vehicles, 45 personnel and 3 vehicles of the Civil Defense Troops, 20 personnel and 5 vehicles of the North-West Regional Center, 2 helicopters of the Aviation Detachment, as well as 25 employees and 15 local residents of the Forestry Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources attend in fire extinguishing measures.

Ismail Akhundov: “Remains of bodies found in liberated territories will be exhumed”

“Mass graveyards belonging to First Karabakh War were found in the liberated territories from the occupation after the Second Karabakh war,” Secretary of the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons Ismayil Akhundov, APA reports.

According to him, relevant measures on the opening of graves by means of international organizations, exhumation, and identification of corpses there will be taken.

President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva view exhibitions, organized by Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Shusha-VIDEO-UPDATED

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva have viewed the “Karabakh is a pearl of Azerbaijani culture” and “Again in the native land: Pearls of Karabakh art” exhibitions organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation as part of the Vagif Poetry Days held in Shusha, APA reports.

First, President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva familiarized themselves with “Karabakh is a pearl of Azerbaijani culture” exhibition in the Shusha Art Gallery.

The exhibition, organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, features works by Boyukagha Mirzazade, Toghrul Narimanbayov, Maral Rahmanzade, Nadir Abdurrahmanov, Mikayil Abdullayev, Ujal Hagverdiyev, Museyib Amirov and other prominent Azerbaijani artists. The exhibition also features must-see places of Karabakh, its writers, carpets, horses, mugam and victories in the Patriotic War.

Then, President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva viewed “Again in the native land: Pearls of Karabakh art” exhibition in the Shusha Carpet Gallery which was restored and repaired by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

Organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and presented by the Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum, the exhibition features fleecy and pileless carpets, carpet products, national embroidery and clothing sets, and examples of metal work art. It also includes carpet samples from the collection of the National Museum of History of Azerbaijan.

The “Memory. Photographic history” exhibition was also organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Shusha as part of the Vagif Poetry Days. The photo exhibition highlights Azerbaijan’s ancient history, rich culture, beautiful nature and traditions.

State Commission: There are 197 unknown graves belonging to First Karabakh War in Baku and regions

“There are 197 unknown graves belonging to the First Karabakh War in Baku and regions,” said Secretary of the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons Ismayil Akhundov, APA reports.

I. Akhundov noted that GPD coordinates of those graves have been taken: “It has been done in order to prevent the disappearance of these graves and putting another grave on them, or conduction of any construction works on them. Intensive works are done by Military Prosecutor’s Office in Baku and other cities and regions in this direction. Additional information will be provided to the public on the results of the works.”

Azerbaijan to create an 8-kilometer green ring around Shusha city

“Within the framework of work on the Shusha’s Major Plan on the instruction of the head of state of Azerbaijan, special attention is paid to the greenery and landscape strategy of the city”, Anar Guliyev, the Chairman of the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture of the Republic of Azerbaijan said on Facebook, APA reports.

He noted that the natural forest and parks of Shusha will be restored, new green corridors, as well as more than 8 km of the suburban green ring will be established.

Minister of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan, Colonel-General Kamaladdin Heydarov has visited to the mountainous area with a complex relief near the village of Solguja, Gabala region where a fire broke out, APA reports.

The Minister viewed the area by helicopter and got acquainted with the work carried out to prevent the fire.

K. Heydarov was informed about the measures taken in the direction of extinguishing the fire.

Later, the Minister got acquainted with the fire extinguishing works in the mountainous area with complex relief near Abrikh village of the region.

Forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations continue firefighting measures.
