Slovakia provides Ukraine with S-300

Slovakia has provided Ukraine with the S-300 air defense system, Slovakian Prime Minister Eduard Heger wrote on Twitter, APA reports.

“I would like to confirm that Slovakia has provided Ukraine with an air-defence system S-300. Ukrainian nation is bravely defending its sovereign country and us too. It is our duty to help, not to stay put and be ignorant to the loss of human lives under Russia’s agression,” noted the Minister.

Japan to expel some Russian diplomats

Japan will expel eight Russians including diplomats, the Foreign Ministry said Friday, as Tokyo continues to work with the United States and European countries to step up pressure on Russia to stop the country’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine, APA reports citing Kyodo News Agency.

Japan’s decision is likely to prompt Moscow to expel Japanese diplomats in Russia as a counter.

There is no problem to convene a Joint Commission on delimitation, Lavrov says

“There is no problem to convene a Joint Commission on the delimitation of the Azerbaijan-Armenia state border”, said the Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov at the press conference regarding the results of the talks with his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan, said APA’s Moscow bureau reports.

Lavrov expressed his hope for the establishment of the commission of the delimitation of the Azerbaijan- Armenia border soon.

Russian President attends farewell ceremony for Zhirinovsky

Russian President Vladimir Putin has taken part in the farewell ceremony for LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky, APA’s correspondent in Moscow reports.

The farewell ceremony for Vladimir Zhirinovsky is held in the Hall of Columns, the funeral will take place at 2:00 pm at the Novodevichy Cemetery.

Kremlin comments on possibility of Georgia’s joining NATO

“NATO has an aggressive manner and any expansion of the alliance does not bring security and stability,” said Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov in a reply to the question regarding how Kremlin approaches the NATO’s statement “Ukraine, Georgia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina will expand the support” and possibility of these countries joining the Northern Alliance, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.

“You know that we are sure about the aggressive manner of this alliance. This is a non-defensive alliance and any expansion of activity of this alliance and its effect does not bring additional security and stability,” said Kremlin.

169 children killed in Ukraine so far as a result of Russian operation

Russian troops have killed 169 children in Ukraine since February 24, according to data provided by the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office, APA reports citing Ukrinform.

“More than 475 children suffered in Ukraine as a result of Russia’s armed attack. In particular, 169 children were killed and more than 306 were injured. These figures are not final, as work is underway in the areas of active hostilities, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories,” the PGO’s press service wrote on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

The largest number of victims has been recorded in Kyiv region – 88, Kharkiv region – 38, Donetsk region – 81, Chernihiv region – 50, Mykolaiv region – 40, Zhytomyr region – 15, Sumy region – 16, Kherson region – 29, and Kyiv city – 15.

In Bucha, Kyiv region, the body of a 15-year-old girl was found in a mass grave among adult victims.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region on April 7, one child was killed and two others aged 4 and 16 were injured in Russian shelling of a boat carrying 14 people.
