10 people injured after car strikes pedestrians in Berlin

At least 10 people were injured after a car drove into pedestrians in Berlin’s city center, authorities said on Wednesday, according to Anadolu Agency.

“A man has driven his car into a group of people. It is not yet clear whether it was an accident or an intentional action,” German police said on Twitter.

The driver was arrested soon after the incident.

Public broadcaster RBB said at least 10 people were injured, some of them seriously, and were shifted to hospitals.

bp and its co-venturers’ new social investment project that promotes inclusive education completed

bp and its co-venturers’ new social investment project that promotes inclusive education has been completed. The project helps create an inclusive educational environment and achieve a behavioural change at high schools by increasing awareness while supporting social integration and adaptation of children with disabilities.

Four schools have been selected by the Ministry of Education to pilot the project to its aim. These are schools number 202 and 246 in Baku, and number 4 and 21 in Sumgayit.

Specifically designed resource rooms – one in each of the selected schools – have been set up to provide tailored group and individual services to support children with disabilities in their learning and integration efforts.

In addition, selected groups of the teaching staff – 50 tutors in total, have been trained to efficiently use the new equipment and technologies as well as to help uphold the overall inclusive environment and culture at their schools.

The project, which is being implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, strongly advocates a modern inclusive education policy and promotes strategic development of inclusive education as an integral part of Azerbaijan’s education system.

Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli, bp’s vice president for the Caspian region, communications and external affairs, and a group of bp representatives visited one of the project schools to see first-hand the ready resource room.

Azerbaijan, Czech Republic discuss energy cooperation

Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov has met with Czech Ambassador to Azerbaijan Milan Ekert as he ends his diplomatic mission in the country.

The sides discussed energy cooperation between the two countries, including those arising from the agreement between the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic on cooperation in the sphere of energy, also the creation of a joint working group and holding its first meeting.

The ambassador expressed confidence that energy relations between the two countries will continue to expand.
