Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan Rahman Hummetov met with MPs of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, co-chairman of the Ukraine-Azerbaijan friendship group Vladimir Kreydenko, members of the friendship group Anton Shvachko and Mykola Galushko, who are on a visit to Azerbaijan, APA-Economics reports.

The current situation and development prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Ukraine in the field of transport infrastructure, cargo transportation through the Middle Corridor, electronic government, and innovations were discussed at the meeting.

Foreign MInister of Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov who is on a visit to Azerbaijan, has visited Alley of Martyrs and Alley of Honor, APA reports.

 

Maria Zakharova, the Spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry posted on her Telegram regarding this.

 

Sergey Lavrov laid a wreath at the tomb of national leader, founder and architect of modern Azerbaijani state Heydar Aliyev.

 

Fresh flowers were also put at the grave of prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva.

 

Then, visiting the Alley of Martyrs, the minister commemorated the heroic children of the Motherland, who died in the struggle for the freedom and sovereignty of Azerbaijan and laid a wreath in front of the “Eternal Torch” monument.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu will participate in the G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting to be held in New Delhi on March 1-2, 2023, the Turkish MFA told APA’s Istanbul bureau.

 

It was noted that views will be exchanged on the important issues on the global agenda, especially humanitarian aid and elimination of natural disasters, food and energy security, the fight against terrorism, and cooperation in the field of development.

 

Within the framework of the visit, the Turkish minister is expected to hold bilateral meetings.

“The situation in the South Caucasus region was also discussed today and the importance of trilateral agreements was noted,” said Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov at the joint press conference with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Baku today, APA reports.

 

“Issues related to the post-conflict period were discussed and we exchanged views on the work done to sign a peace agreement with Armenia. The active phase for signing this agreement is over. Currently, the Armenian side is preventing the signing of the peace agreement, and we saw that they refused to participate in the 3rd round of negotiations,” noted the Minister.
