Baku: An international event commemorating the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress is set to take place at UNESCO headquarters in Paris. This announcement was made by Aktoty Raimkulova, President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, during a plenary session held as part of the Turkic World Week, which is dedicated to this centennial milestone, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the event is being organized at the initiative of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, with collaboration from Azerbaijan's Ministry of Culture, the Permanent Delegations of the Turkic states to UNESCO, and various Turkic cooperation organizations. The event aims to honor the historical significance of the First Turkological Congress and will be hosted at UNESCO's Paris headquarters later this year.
Raimkulova emphasized that these initiatives are expected to contribute significantly to enhancing the shared cultural memory of the Turkic peoples. The event will also aim to foster cooperation among the Turkic nations and raise international awareness about the historical importance of the First Turkological Congress.
