11.4 Billion Cubic Meters of Natural Gas Transported via Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum Pipeline in Six Months

Baku: During the first six months of the year (January-June), 20,792.2 million cubic meters of natural gas were transported through Azerbaijan's trunk gas pipelines, representing a 2.6% increase compared to the same period last year.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum (South Caucasus Pipeline) carried the primary share of transit, accounting for 55% of the total volume - equivalent to 11,442.2 million cubic meters of natural gas.

This significant contribution underscores the importance of the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum Pipeline in the region's energy infrastructure. The pipeline, which plays a pivotal role in transporting natural gas from Azerbaijan to neighboring regions and beyond, has been a cornerstone of energy strategy, facilitating secure energy supply and regional cooperation.
