1,105 Individuals Successfully Evacuated from Iran via Astara Checkpoint

Astara: Approximately 1,105 people have been evacuated from Iran through the Astara state border checkpoint since February 28. The evacuation efforts continued until 10 a.m. today, allowing individuals from multiple nations to safely exit the country.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the evacuees include citizens from a diverse range of countries such as Azerbaijan, Russia, China, Slovakia, Pakistan, Trkiye, Oman, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, South Africa, and Georgia, among others. This wide array of nationalities underscores the multinational nature of the evacuation effort.

The evacuation process is being conducted in stages, with evacuees required to complete necessary procedures at the border checkpoints. This structured approach ensures that all individuals are processed efficiently and in accordance with international protocols.
