13 injured in helicopter collision in Queensland

Two helicopters collided on the Gold Coast in the Australian state of Queensland, officials said on Monday, APA reports citing Teletrader.

 

The Queensland Ambulance Service reported 13 casualties are “being assessed at the scene” without providing details on the extent of their injuries.

 

According to authorities, one of the helicopters managed to land successfully, while the other seems to have been damaged, with wreckage visible on Main Beach, where the incident occurred. Queensland police and emergency services are at the scene.
