18 People Injured in Mine Explosions in Azerbaijan in First Half of 2025

Baku: As a result of the mine terrorism carried out by the Armenian side, 18 people received various degrees of bodily injuries due to mine and unexploded ordnance explosions in the first half of 2025, APA reports. This alarming statistic was announced during a large board meeting held at the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, it was revealed that from November 2020 to the present, a total of 400 people have fallen victim to these incidents. Among them, 70 individuals have died, while 330 have sustained various degrees of bodily injuries. The ongoing threat of mine explosions continues to impact the region, underscoring the need for enhanced safety measures and demining efforts.
