18th Uzeyir Hajibayli International Music Festival Begins in Azerbaijan

Baku: The 18th Uzeyir Hajibayli International Music Festival, dedicated to the Azerbaijani composer and founder of professional Azerbaijani music Uzeyir Hajibayli, has commenced in Azerbaijan. The festival began on September 18 and is scheduled to continue until September 30.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the festival is co-organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Azerbaijan's Ministry of Culture. It will gather renowned musicians and bands for its concert program, which will take place in several cities across Azerbaijan, including Baku, Aghjabadi, Ganja, Shusha, Lachin, Aghdam, and Lankaran. The event will also feature presentations, performances, and exhibitions.

In addition to the local events, the festival will include activities held in Uzbekistan, Germany, and Trkiye. This year's festival will also host the inaugural Congress of Composers of the Turkic World, marking a significant milestone in the event's history.
