On August 24-28, 2022, the World Junior Judo Championship was held in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Azerbaijan national team was represented by 9 athletes in the championship.

Participating in the competition as part of the Azerbaijan national team, the athlete of the children’s and youth sports school number 10 of the “Tahsil” Republican Sports Center Sahin Oruczade (55 kg) won a silver medal, and Nizami Imranov (60 kg), the athlete of the specialized Olympic reserves children’s and youth sports school number 13, won a bronze medal.

It should be noted that the Azerbaijan national team was represented in the team competition by 8 athletes, four of them Fidan Alizade (-63 kg), Nizami Imranov (-60 kg), Ali Hajizade ( -60 kg), Ramazan Ahmadov (+81 kg) and one person was Sahin Oruczade (-60 kg), an athlete of the children-youth sports school number 10.
