“Identifying further ways to reinforce Azerbaijan-Turkiye-Uzbekistan brotherhood and partnership”, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov wrote on his official Twitter account, as he attended the first Trilateral Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Trade/Economy and Transport of Azerbaijan, Turkiye and Uzbekistan in Tashkent.

“In times of growing challenges to global security, stability and economic development, this new trilateral Azerbaijan-Turkiye-Uzbekistan platform fits into existing efforts to develop regional cooperation and to address our countries’ shared interests in peace, security and prosperity”, FM Bayramov tweeted.

Chinese Foreign Ministry protests Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan

China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has protested the visit of US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan, APA reports citing RT.

The Ministry assessed this as a violation of the “One China” principle and the terms of the communiqué signed between the United States and China.

Azerbaijan Naval Forces’ patrol ships return to Baku

The patrol ships and military personnel of the Azerbaijan Naval Forces, that were on a visit to the Russian Federation according to the joint military action plan, returned to the country, the Ministry of Defense told AZERTAC.

As part of the visit, a meeting between the delegation of the Azerbaijan Naval Forces and the leadership of the Caspian Flotilla of the Russian Navy was held.

The sides discussed friendly relations between the Azerbaijan Naval Forces and the Caspian Flotilla of the Russian Navy, as well as issues of mutual interest at the meeting.

The Azerbaijani seamen also participated in several events held in the Russian Federation.

Nancy Pelosi has just tweeted after touching down in Taiwan, APA reports citing BBC.

In a thread, the top US Democrat says that her delegation’s visit honoured “America’s unwavering commitment to supporting Taiwan’s vibrant Democracy”.

She added: “America’s solidarity with the 23 million people of Taiwan is more important today than ever” and that her visit “in no way contradicts longstanding United States policy.”

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Former U.S. President Donald Trump said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s trip to Taiwan will not end well, Trend reports.

“Why is Crazy Nancy Pelosi in Taiwan. Always causing trouble,” Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social. “Nothing she does turns out well (Two failed Impeachments, loss of House, etc.). WATCH!”

Shavkat Mirziyoyev receives Azerbaijani delegation

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Minister of Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov and Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev, who arrived in Tashkent to participate in the first trilateral meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Economy and Transport of Azerbaijan, Türkiye and Uzbekistan, APA reports via Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan.

During the meeting Mirziyoyev conveyed his warmest meetings to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. He recalled the visit of Azerbaijani president to Uzbekistan back in June of this year. Mirziyoyev highly appreciated the work done in a short time in accordance with the agreements reached during the visit.

Furthermore, the importance of the first historic meeting of the ministers of foreign affairs, economy and transport of Azerbaijan, Türkiye and Uzbekistan, which took place today, was stressed.

The issues of high-level cooperation between three countries both in the bilateral format and in the format of international organizations, the work carried out within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States, including preparations for the organization’s summit in November this year in Samarkand. In general, the great potential of cooperation between the three countries was emphasized.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov conveyed the best wishes of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to the president of Uzbekistan. In accordance with the instructions of the heads of the state, the need to implement practical measures to fulfill the obligations arising both from the results of the meeting of the bilateral intergovernmental commission and from the Tashkent Declaration adopted was noted. Gratitude was expressed to Uzbek president for organizing a meeting in a trilateral format at a high level.
