24 Injured as Passenger Bus Overturns in Lankaran Traffic Accident


Lankaran: A video capturing the aftermath of a traffic accident in Lankaran, where a passenger bus overturned, has surfaced, revealing the extent of the incident that left 24 individuals injured. The accident occurred on the Lankaran-Boradigah-Masalli road section passing through the city of Lankaran, leading to the hospitalization of 13 women, 10 men, and one child at the Emergency Department of Lankaran Central District Hospital.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Management Union of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB) confirmed that all injured parties received the necessary initial medical care. Among those hospitalized, one person remains in the Intensive Care Unit, six are being treated in the Trauma Department, and four others are in the Emergency Department. Thirteen individuals with minor injuries have been discharged and are receiving outpatient treatment.



Prior reports from APA’s southern bureau initially indicated that 23 people were injured in the accident. The incident involved the passenger bus overturning onto a VAZ-2107 car, resulting in multiple injuries. The Emergency and Urgent Medical Care Department of Lankaran District Central Hospital has been providing essential medical services to those diagnosed with traumas affecting various body parts, placing them in appropriate departments based on their conditions.
