31st anniversary of State Flag solemnly celebrated in Osh

On March 3, a solemn event dedicated to the 31st anniversary of the State Flag of the Kyrgyz Republic was held on the central square of Osh city, the southern capital of Kyrgyzstan.

 

As part of the event, the servicemen of the Osh garrison brought a 15-meter flag to the central square, which was raised over the square under the national anthem of the Kyrgyz Republic.

 

The event was attended by First Deputy Mayor of Osh Mars Isaev, Deputy Chairman of the Osh City Council Shaiyrbek Nuranov, deputies of the legendary parliament, as well as representatives of the public of the city of Osh, deputies of the city council, citizens, military personnel, law enforcement officers and activists of the city.

 

Isaev in his welcoming speech noted that the State Flag Day is one of the most important public holidays and has always been celebrated solemnly and at the highest level in Osh.

 

The state flag of the Kyrgyz Republic was approved on March 3, 1992. The authors are E. Aidarbekov, B. Zhaichybekov, S. Iptarov, Zh. Mataev, M. Sydykov. The national flag of the Kyrgyz Republic, according to its official description, is a red cloth, in the center of which there is a round solar disk with forty evenly divergent rays of golden color.
