Astara: 35 citizens of the Russian Federation have successfully crossed into Azerbaijan from Iran through the Astara Border Customs checkpoint.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, these individuals were permitted to enter Azerbaijan as part of an ongoing evacuation process. Alexander Davydov, one of the Russian citizens, shared that their presence in Iran was for business purposes. He noted that they did not encounter any issues on the Iranian side and expressed gratitude towards Azerbaijan for their warm reception, which included offering hot tea and sweets.

The Astara Border checkpoint continues to facilitate the evacuation process for individuals in similar circumstances.
