Mingachevir: The semi-final competitions in taekwondo are being held within the framework of the III CIS Games hosted by Azerbaijan, APA’s local correspondent reports. Our taekwondo athlete, Vasif Salimov, who competed in the 68-kilogram weight category, won a gold medal in the competitions that started at the “Kur” Olympic Sports Complex in the city of Mingachevir.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Salimov secured his victory by defeating his opponent from Uzbekistan, Turabov Umidjon, in the final. This win marks a significant achievement for the Azerbaijani athlete in the ongoing games.
