4.8 magnitude earthquake strikes Tajikistan

A 4.8 magnitude earthquake struck Tajikistan at 5:01 am (local time) on February 28, the network of seismic stations of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan said, APA reports citing Aki Press.


“The epicenter of the earthquake is located 685 km southwest of Almaty in Tajikistan. The energy class of the earthquake is 10.7. The MPV magnitude is 4.8. Depth is 10 km,” the report stated.
