49 children, repatriated from Syria and Iraq were placed in social service institutions

“At the beginning of the repatriation process, one of the executive bodies was the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection,” Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Social Services Agency Parviz Abbasov said at the “Social time” program, APA reports.

According to him, in this process, the authority of each body has been defined: “The responsibility of the MLSPP is to provide the necessary services to repatriated children and their parents (mothers) after their arrival in the country. When they first arrive, they are served in institutions subordinated to the Agency for Social Services, and then their social rehabilitation is carried out locally and in families. Since 2018, such rehabilitation services were provided to 358 repatriates. Mainly, children repatriated from Syria and Iraq, and their parents have been provided with such services. 340 of them were children, and 18 their parents. 81 children were repatriated over the past year. 49 of these children were placed in social service institutions subordinated to our Agency. They are under control of specialists. This process will also be continued from now on,” he stressed.
