5.0-magnitude earthquake hits China’s Xinjiang

A 5.0-magnitude earthquake shook the southern area of Xinjiang in China, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) and the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said, APA reports citing Teletrader.

 

According to the information posted by the EMSC, the earthquake was registered around 7:58 am local time 60 kilometers northwest of the city of Aksu. The USGS reported the tremor struck a depth of 10 kilometers, while the EMSC quoted that figure as two.

 

No reports of any casualties or material damage have been made yet.
