The Yevlakh Pilot Agropark has recently granted resident status to private entrepreneur Magerram Askerov and the Balkhurma company, as announced by Minister of Economy Mikail Jabbarov. As residents, they will establish intensive orchards across 61.1 hectares, with a total investment value of 640 thousand manats. This endeavor is expected to create job opportunities for 13 individuals on a permanent basis and 112 on a seasonal basis. It is worth noting that the Yevlakh Pilot Agropark falls under the jurisdiction of the Agency for the Development of Economic Zones, operating under the Ministry of Economy. In 2022, Azerbaijan's agricultural exports saw a substantial emphasis on vegetables and fruits, comprising an impressive 93% of the total agricultural export value. The overall volume of agricultural and agro-industrial product exports from the country also demonstrated steady growth, increasing by 11.8% and reaching a remarkable $912.4 million. Out of this total export value, agricultural products accounted for $717.6 million, showcasing steady growth of 6.7%. Meanwhile, the export of agro-industrial products experienced a significant surge, reaching a total value of $194.8 million, with an impressive growth rate of 35.4%.
