Baku: The State Migration Service of Azerbaijan reported that 6,680 individuals applied for permanent residence permits in the country last month. This information was disclosed in response to an inquiry by APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, 44 individuals were readmitted to Azerbaijan from European countries in April under the readmission agreements currently in force by the Republic of Azerbaijan. Additionally, the month saw 6,680 applications for temporary residence permits, while 542 applications were submitted for permanent residence permits.

During the same period, the State Migration Service received 1,025 applications for work permits for foreigners and stateless persons wishing to engage in paid labor within the Republic of Azerbaijan. Furthermore, 23,316 applications were submitted for the registration of foreigners and stateless persons at their place of stay in Azerbaijan.

The State Migration Service also noted that 1,746 administrative decisions related to violations of migration legislation were made during April.
