On the afternoon of December 27, a large group of Armenians marched from Khankyandi along Khojaly. They came to the headquarters of Russian peacekeepers and demanded a meeting with commander Andrei Volkov. However, the general did not come out to the Armenians, who said that they would not leave until Volkov came out to them and explained why the peacekeepers did not open the Lachin road.
