A new party is being created – Democratic Change

A group of social and political activists established an organizing committee on the creation of the Party for Democratic Changes (PDC) the day before. Ali Mustafa was elected chairman of the organizing committee. The new party aims to protect the sovereignty of the Azerbaijani people, to promote the establishment of democracy in the country that ensures national interests.

The PDC considers as its priority tasks: the formation of power on the basis of the genuine expression of the will of the people; ensuring the supremacy of the principles of international law in domestic and foreign policy; ensuring human rights and freedoms, material well-being and security of the people; decentralization of public administration, building it on the basis of legality and transparency; ensuring a balance between the branches of government; ensuring truly market relations, free enterprise and fair competition.

In the near future it is planned to work on the creation of regional structures of the organization and to hold a constituent congress, the head of the organizing committee Mustafa told Turan.

According to him, in foreign policy, the party stands for cooperation with all members of the international community, with special relations with Turkey. The party also has a positive attitude to the prospects of Azerbaijan’s European integration.

The head of the party, Mustafa, was born in 1965 in Barda. A lawyer by profession, engaged in scientific and pedagogical activities. He actively participated in the national democratic movement in the late 1980s and early 1990s. In recent years, he was a member of the Public Platform for Democratic Change.
