Days of Azerbaijan are being held in the Turkish province of Bursa.

AZERTAC reports that the project under the slogan “One Nation, Two States” is an initiative of the GIM AZDER Association in Bursa, Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, Karacabey Municipalities, Igdir Culture, Social and Solidarity, Istanbul Azerbaijan Friendship, Antalya Azerbaijan Culture and Solidarity, as well as also took place with the organizational support of GIM ULSIAD circles.

A park named after Azerbaijan’s National Hero Shirin Mirzayev was opened in the Karajabey district of Bursa as part of the Days of Azerbaijan.

The opening ceremony was attended by family members of the National Hero, representatives of the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Bursa and Karajabey municipalities, members of public associations and others.

Ali Ozkan, chairman of Karajabey municipality, Flora Gasimova, wife of Shirin Mirzayev, Huseyn Valiyev, chairman of the “People of the Future Space, Space of Future Opportunities” circle spoke at the event.

In his speeches, Muzaffar said that the role of national heroes in the 44-day victory of Azerbaijan in the 44-day Patriotic War under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev was great, and the foundation for this victory was laid by national leader Heydar Aliyev. It was stressed in this victory that brotherly Turkey has always stood by Azerbaijan. The opening of parks named after Azerbaijani national heroes Polad Hashimov and Shirin Mirzayev in Bursa was called a clear example of Turkish-Azerbaijani brotherly and friendly relations, and the process of building parks named after other Azerbaijani heroes will continue.

Shirin Mirzayev’s wife Flora Gasimova and Huseyn Valiyev expressed special gratitude to Karajabey municipality for perpetuating the name of the National Hero in Turkey.

At the event, Ali Ozkan recited a poem by People’s Poet of Azerbaijan Bakhtiyar Vahabzade dedicated to the two brotherly countries, and Huseyn Valiyev recited poems dedicated to our martyrs.

On behalf of the National Hero’s family, a photo of Natavan spring in Shusha was presented to Karajabay municipality, and souvenirs reflecting the Victory of Azerbaijan were presented to Bursa Metropolitan Municipality.

The event ended with the sound of the “Victory March”.
