BAKU: AccessBank, in collaboration with the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA), has announced the launch of the “Bizd?n Biznes?” startup competition, aimed at fostering innovation and supporting new entrepreneurs in Azerbaijan. This initiative seeks to stimulate economic growth by providing a platform for entrepreneurs to implement their business ideas, along with mentoring and financial support for micro, small, and medium enterprises.
According to Trend News Agency, the competition invites Azerbaijani citizens over the age of 18 to submit projects that exemplify innovation, creativity, sustainability, and profitability. The competition, which has a total prize fund of 60,000 AZN, aims to encourage projects that focus on developing a green economy, enhancing the role of women in society, and implementing initiatives in liberated territories. A special committee of five members will evaluate and select the business plans, awarding 25,000 AZN to the first-place winner, 20,000 AZN to the seco
nd-place, and 15,000 AZN to the third-place.
Renat Humbatov, a member of the AccessBank Board, expressed the bank’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan, highlighting the bank’s 22-year history of aiding micro, small, and medium enterprises. Humbatov emphasized the project’s potential to inspire new beginnings and enrich the entrepreneurial environment.
