In accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the firefighting forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the fraternal Republic of Turkey are successfully continuing firefighting operations in order to extinguish forest fires and prevent them from spreading to large scales, according to the information of Azerbaijani MES, APA reports.
It was noted that within the framework of the visit of officials of the Ministry led by Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Lieutenant General Etibar Mirzayev to Turkey, Deputy Minister E. Mirzayev met with Deputy Interior Minister of Turkey Mehmet Ersoy at the Crisis Management Center in Marmaris. E. Mirzayev said that the fire and rescue forces of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived in the brother Republic of Turkey on the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev. The Deputy Minister has noted that the purpose of the visit is the organization of the coordination of Azerbaijani fire and rescue forces who came to Turkey. Etibar Mirzayev has talked in detail about the activity of the forces of Azerbaijani MES in the direction of extinguishing the fire. The deputy minister recalling that another group of fire and rescue forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan is already in the brotherly Turkish Republic gave detailed information about the composition and capabilities of the group.
