ADA University Hosts Symposium on Higher Education Quality Assurance

Baku:ADA University and the Education Quality Assurance Agency (TKTA) have successfully concluded the Third Annual Symposium on Quality Assurance in Higher Education. The two-day event, themed 'Advancing Higher Education: Quality Assurance, Program Design, and Innovation,' brought together representatives from various higher education institutions, along with local and international experts.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the symposium commenced with opening remarks from Professor Elkin Nurmammadov, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs at ADA University. He welcomed the participants and emphasized the event's potential to contribute significantly to the advancement of the national higher education system.

Tural Ahmadov, Chairman of the Board of TKTA, addressed attendees on international trends in higher education quality assurance, stressing the necessity for universities to adopt flexible approaches aligned with their development. The symposium provided a platform for Azerbaijani universities to exchange best practices and discuss strategies for educational quality enhancement.

A key feature of the event was an interactive panel discussion on 'Post-accreditation Strategies for Institutional Development,' which included contributions from Professor Nurali Yusifbayli, Rector of Sumgayit State University; Associate Professor Rufat Azizov, Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University; Associate Professor Zafar Gurbanov, Rector of Azerbaijan State Agrarian University; and Dr. Raziya Isayeva, Rector of Khazar University.

Specialized seminars were conducted by representatives from ADA University, TKTA, and Baku Higher Oil School, focusing on 'Internal Quality Assurance: Monitoring and Evaluation Mechanisms' and 'Supporting Graduate Employment: The Role of Career Services.' Participants actively discussed topics such as accreditation strategies, curriculum enhancement, student-centered approaches, and the application of artificial intelligence in education.

Frank Niedermayer from the University of Potsdam, Germany, commended ADA University's Quality Assurance and Accreditation team for organizing an exceptional symposium with relevant topics. Dr. Maurus Roller, Director of Quality Assurance and Accreditation at ADA University, highlighted the importance of ongoing dialogue about academic quality and educational innovation.

The event concluded with the awarding of certificates to active participants and a commemorative group photo.
