Adequate Housing in the Face of Climate Crisis Discussed at WUF13

Kuala lumpur: There is a communication gap between people living in urban spaces, suburban communities, and policymakers, Lajana Manandhar, an urban planning and community development expert from Nepal, said during the roundtable discussion titled 'Community-led action for adequate housing, land and basic services in the face of the climate crisis' held by mass and civil society organizations within the framework of WUF13, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Manandhar emphasized the importance of the opinions of urban and suburban residents on urban development policy. She noted that closing the communication gap is essential for community-oriented development. Manandhar stressed the need to involve the broader public to gain their support and to focus on reducing disparities in communication, understanding, and the narratives that shape urban policies.
