Baku: The detention period of Adnan Ahmadzade, the former deputy head of SOCAR's Investment Department, accused in a criminal case initiated by the State Security Service (SSS/DTX), has been extended. The Sabail District Court reviewed the submission regarding this matter and made a decision to extend his detention.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the pre-trial detention measure chosen for Adnan Ahmadzade has been extended by two months. Ahmadzade was detained in September last year following an operation conducted by the State Security Service. He faces charges of sabotage against economic security and embezzlement on an especially large scale.
