Baku: Samir Akhundov, Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA), held a meeting with Tural Aliyev, General Director of Green Corridor Alliance LLC, to explore potential cooperation avenues.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the discussions centered around collaborative opportunities under the 'Green Energy Corridor' initiative. The meeting addressed the project's regulatory aspects and the potential role of AERA in the initiative. The conversations also focused on infrastructure and market mechanisms for electricity export, as well as opportunities for technical and institutional cooperation.

The dialogue comes in the context of a strategic agreement signed on November 13, 2024, by the governments of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan, aiming to develop and transmit green energy efficiently. Green Corridor Alliance LLC was specifically established to ensure the successful implementation of this agreement, marking a significant step towards sustainable energy collaboration in the region.
