Baku: More than 15 enterprises are currently under construction in industrial parks located in the liberated areas, as part of an ongoing effort to attract investors and establish new industrial ventures, Seymur Adigozelov, Chairman of the Board of the Agency for Development of Economic Zones under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan, announced during a recent press conference, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Adigozelov highlighted that nearly 70% of the Aghdam Industrial Park, which spans 190 hectares, has been allocated for entrepreneurial use. This development is part of a broader strategy to revitalize the region’s economy by leveraging its industrial potential.

Construction efforts in these industrial parks include plans for launching production facilities for a variety of products. These facilities will produce tobacco products, decorative stones, adhesive tapes, disinfectants, liquid detergents, and bleaching products in the Aghdam and ‘Araz Valley Economic Zone’ industrial parks. Additionally, groundwork is being laid for the establishment of enterprises focused on manufacturing plastic containers and metal electricity poles designed for high-voltage power transmission.

The initiative reflects a strategic push by the Azerbaijani government to stimulate economic growth in the region, promote industrial diversification, and create employment opportunities by leveraging the liberated territories for industrial development.
