Agreement Between Azerbaijani and Latvian Interior Ministries Approved

Baku: The 'Agreement between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Latvia on cooperation' has been formally approved. This development comes after President Ilham Aliyev signed the relevant decree.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the decree mandates that the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan is responsible for ensuring the implementation of the agreement's provisions once it becomes effective. Additionally, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan is tasked with notifying the Government of Latvia about the completion of domestic procedures necessary for the agreement to take effect.

The agreement, which aims to foster cooperation between the two countries' interior ministries, was signed in Baku on April 22, 2026.
