In the first half of this year, the volume of agricultural production in actual prices amounted to 5.8 billion manats, which is up by 3.4% from the same period of 2022 in real prices, the State Statistics Committee reports.

The ratio of livestock and crop production is slightly more in favor of the second (2 billion 968 million manats). At the same time, the growth was recorded at the level of 3.7% and 3% in these sectors of agricultural production in the first half of this year.

According to the SSC, as of July 1, over 2 million tons of grain and leguminous crops (including corn) were produced, which is down by 1.1% from the appropriate period of the last year.

At that, 431.300 thousand tons of potatoes (1.9% more), 831.200 tons of vegetables (+ 4.6%), 111.700 tons of melon products (+ 3.1%), 161.100 tons of fruits and berries (+ 7.1%) were harvested. The production of tobacco (882 tons) and green tea leaves (546.2 tons) also increased by 6.9% and 36%, respectively.

In January-June 2023, meat in live weight (including poultry meat) was produced - 285.400 tons (+ 3.1%), milk - 1,122.900 tons (+ 2.7%), eggs - 1.1 billion pieces (+ 12%). Wool production (14.000 tons) declined by 2.8%.
