Baku: The Ahmadbayli-Fuzuli-Shusha highway project, submitted for the Europe and Central Asia Regional Excellence Awards, has been selected by the International Road Federation (IRF Global) as the winner in the Innovative Construction Methodology category.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the highway is a 1C technical-category road, featuring four to six traffic lanes, and includes significant infrastructure such as seven tunnels, nine viaducts, 11 bridges, and 76 underpasses and reserve crossings. The total length of the tunnels exceeds 6.3 kilometers, with the longest tunnel measuring 3.34 kilometers.
