Baku: Azerbaijan's Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center) has designated the organization of joint forums with think tanks from the C6 countries and EU member states as its primary task for 2026, Farid Shafiyev, AIR Center Chairman of the Board, told AZERTAC.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the AIR Center aims to build on the success of 2025's forums, which included participants from think tanks from Trkiye, the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), CICA member states, and the United States.

'The Center intends to implement a similar experience involving think tanks from EU member states and C6 countries and this move stems from the tangible, practical results we are already witnessing from the forums conducted in 2025,' Shafiyev said.

Noting that the AIR Center, as a think tank, actively combats targeted disinformation against Azerbaijan, the chairman added: "We identify factual inaccuracies in specific sources and publish clarification documents in response to them. The latest such case occurred in connection with the political review headlined 'Armenia and Azerbaijan: Peace or Pause?' published by the Netherlands Institute of International Relations - 'Clingendael.' As a result of an in-depth analysis, we have determined that several statements contained in the document lead to factual inaccuracies, legal misinterpretations, and serious analytical gaps, which increases the risk of forming misconceptions about the dynamics of Azerbaijan-Armenia relations."
