Tirana: Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama strongly condemned the attack launched against the territory of Azerbaijan, targeting civilian infrastructure in the Nakhchivan region, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Albanian Premier expressed his condemnation via a post on his X account, highlighting the severity of the situation. He described the attack as a grave and unacceptable act of aggression by Iran against neighboring countries, specifically pointing out the targeting of civilian infrastructure and the resulting injuries to civilians.

Rama emphasized the close relationship between Albania and Azerbaijan, referring to Azerbaijan as a valued friend and ally. He praised Azerbaijan for its achievements since regaining independence from the Soviet Union, noting its national pride, resilience, and commitment to development. He also highlighted Azerbaijan's openness to cooperation and its earned respect on the global stage.

The Prime Minister stressed that the Azerbaijani people, like those in other countries recently targeted, deserve respect, security, and freedom from intimidation. Rama called for a unified response from states and institutions that support stability and peaceful coexistence.
