The Algerian news portals Al Hiwar and Al Harir have published an article highlighting the 27th International Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition held on the sidelines of the Baku Energy Week.
Written by Azerbaijan’s Chargé d’Affaires in Algeria Rafail Baghirov, the article stresses the importance of the exhibition, which was held after a two-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The author noted that during the years of independence, Azerbaijan has attracted significant investments in the oil and gas sector and, along to meet domestic demand, has begun to play an important role in the energy security of the region and Europe. “Azerbaijan has always tried to turn the Caspian Sea into a center of cooperation and investment, and for this purpose has implemented huge projects with reputable energy companies. Large pipelines have been built to deliver Azerbaijani oil and natural gas to the world markets, and a huge project such as the Southern Gas Corridor has become a reality.”
The article drew the readers` attention to the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum, TANAP and TAP projects.
