Ali Naghiyev Attends 28th Meeting of Conference of Special Services of Turkic-Speaking States

Kazakhstan: Head of Azerbaijan's State Security Service (SSS), Colonel General Ali Naghiyev, attended the 28th meeting of the Conference of Special Services of Turkic-Speaking States, the SSS Press Service told APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, a delegation led by Colonel General Ali Naghiyev participated in the conference held in Kazakhstan. During the event, Naghiyev highlighted emerging global and regional threats stemming from modern geopolitical dynamics, including the significant impacts of ongoing large-scale military confrontations on transport corridors.

In his address, Naghiyev identified the recruitment of citizens as mercenary fighters and the illegal smuggling of weapons, ammunition, and explosives from combat zones as severe threats to the security environment, exacerbating the crime situation. He also noted the adverse effects of the ongoing crises in the Middle East, especially the blockade of strategic straits, on global trade, energy security, and the world economy. Emphasizing the interconnected nature of these issues, Naghiyev stressed that no nation is immune to current developments and underscored the need for enhanced experience and information exchange among partner countries to ensure national security and adopt a unified approach to these challenges.

The meeting concluded with the assessment of the current global situation and discussions on necessary measures to ensure regional security amid modern challenges, culminating in the signing of a final document addressing these pertinent issues.
