Baku: Slovakia's Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Elchin Gasimov, confirmed plans for a forthcoming official visit by the Slovak President to Azerbaijan. The announcement was made during an interaction with APA's correspondent in the Karabakh region. Gasimov expressed a positive impression of the ongoing projects in Karabakh, highlighting the involvement of a Slovak company in a village construction project in the Aghdam District.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Slovakia's participation in the upcoming World Urban Forum in Baku was also confirmed by the ambassador. The Slovak Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Regional Development are expected to attend the event, which is scheduled to take place in two weeks.
Furthermore, the ambassador disclosed plans for an official visit by the Speaker of the Slovak Parliament to Azerbaijan. He emphasized the potential for cooperation between Azerbaijan and Slovakia in various sectors, including defense and infrastructure projects. The ambassador noted that the Slovak President's visit would include a trip to Karabakh, underscoring the importance of strengthening bilateral relations through these high-level exchanges.
