Ambassador Highlights Pharmaceutical Export Ties Between Hungary and Azerbaijan

Baku: Ambassador of Hungary to Azerbaijan Tam¡s J³zsef Torma emphasized the significant role of pharmaceutical products in Hungary's exports to Azerbaijan during his address at the second international conference titled 'Pharmaceutical Industry of Azerbaijan: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow' held in Baku. Ambassador Torma noted that half of Hungary's exports to Azerbaijan consist of pharmaceutical products, underscoring the strong bilateral trade relations in this sector.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the ambassador remarked on the recent advancements in Azerbaijan's pharmaceutical industry. He referenced the inauguration of the Scandens pharmaceutical production facility by President Ilham Aliyev last autumn as a historic development in the industry. The ambassador also highlighted the presence of two leading Hungarian pharmaceutical firms operating in Azerbaijan, contributing to the robust trade partnership between the two nations.

The conference served as a platform for discussing the progress and future prospects of Azerbaijan's pharmaceutical sector, with a focus on the contributions from international partners like Hungary.
