Baku: Pakistan would benefit immensely from Azerbaijan's strategic location, according to Pakistan's Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Qasim Mohiuddin. In an interview with AZERTAC, the ambassador emphasized the importance of enhanced and efficient road and rail connectivity, particularly along the North-South corridor. He described this development as a potential game changer for regional countries.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Ambassador Mohiuddin highlighted that Pakistan's Gwadar and Karachi Sea Ports, with their excellent infrastructure, serve as a natural gateway for Central Asia and the South Caucasus. He pointed out that Azerbaijan's strategic location as a hub connecting Asia with Europe offers significant benefits for Pakistan.

The ambassador further noted that Gwadar could become a hub for transporting goods from Azerbaijan and Central Asia to international markets. Pakistan's logistics companies have already conducted feasibility studies and trial runs to assess the viability of different routes. He expressed hope that cooperation and investment in this domain would gain momentum as regional security improves. The ultimate goal is to establish reliable, commercially viable, and sustainable trade corridors that enhance connections between Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Central Asia, and European markets.
