Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan Commends Azerbaijan’s Progress During High-Level Meeting.


BAKU: Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Azerbaijan, Maksat Mamytkanov, during a meeting with Sahiba Gafarova, the Speaker of the Milli Majlis, expressed his country’s satisfaction with Azerbaijan’s achievements. The dialogue between the two leaders highlighted the ongoing preparations for COP29, noting that the process is advancing rapidly. Both sides emphasized the shared history, culture, language, and religion as vital elements in strengthening the bonds between the Azerbaijani and Kyrgyz peoples. The ambassador pointed out that since their independence, the relationship between the two nations has grown steadily, rooted in friendship and mutual understanding.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the meeting underscored the importance of reciprocal presidential visits in bolstering bilateral relations. The leaders agreed that the relationship built on mutual respect and trust between the presidents, alongside an active political dialogue, significantly impacts the cooperation dynamics between the two coun
tries. They also highlighted the successful collaboration between their legislative bodies, with mutual visits by parliamentary speakers and members, and regular interactions between Azerbaijani and Kyrgyz MPs within various international and regional organizations contributing to the enhancement of this cooperation.

The ambassador conveyed his congratulations on the successful conduct of elections to the Milli Majlis and the re-election of Sahiba Gafarova as Speaker of Parliament. The meeting concluded with an exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest.
