According to the relevant orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Magomedali Magomedov was the leader of the Republic of Dagestan of the Russian Federation for many years, worked with national leader Heydar Aliyev, highly respected Azerbaijan. Murad Kajlayev was awarded the “Honorary Diploma of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan”.

In this regard, on November 12, Ambassador Polad Bulbuloglu visited the Republic of Dagestan of the Russian Federation and met with the head of Dagestan Sergei Melikov, Magomedali Magomedov and Murad Kajlayev, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Russia told AZERTAC .

During the meeting with Melikov, the prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Dagestan, as well as the current situation at the state border checkpoint Arms-Drills (Russian Federation) – Samur (Republic of Azerbaijan) were discussed.

Polad Bulbuloglu invited the leader of Dagestan to visit our country. During the meeting with Magomedov, the Azerbaijani ambassador presented the highest award to the winner, noted his special contribution to the development of friendly relations and cooperation between our countries and peoples, and conveyed congratulations from President Ilham Aliyev.

Highly appreciating our people, national leader Heydar Aliyev, Magomedov recalled the years of working with him, recalling the difficulties faced by Azerbaijan in the 1990s, noting that it was the great leader Heydar Aliyev who brought our country out of the difficult situation and Azerbaijan has embarked on a path of development. He stressed that this path is being duly continued by President Ilham Aliyev.

Magomedov thanked the head of state for the high attention.

The ceremony of awarding an honorary diploma to M. Kajlayev was held at the “Republican School of Arts named after M. Kajlayev for gifted children.” The school choir first sang the anthems of Azerbaijan, Russia and Dagestan. Then, music pieces from Polad Bulbuloglu’s ballet “Love and Death”, as well as Tofig Guliyev’s song about Baku were performed.

The ambassador read a congratulatory letter from President Ilham Aliyev to Murad Kajlayev and conveyed the President’s best wishes to the jubilee. In turn, M. Kajlayev addressed kind words to the President, thanked him and shared his memories of Baku. In addition, the composer presented a congratulatory letter from national leader Heydar Aliyev to Polad Bulbuloglu in 1993 on the “academic” status of the orchestra he once led from his personal archive. The ambassador said he would submit the letter to the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

The head of Dagestan Sergey Melikov also took part in the meetings with Magomedov and Kajlayev.
