Nairobi: 'We need collective action based on human-centered urban development,' said Anacl¡udia Rossbach, Executive Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), during her speech at the official closing ceremony of the 13th Session of the UN World Urban Forum (WUF13).

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Rossbach emphasized the importance of restoring housing provision as a public responsibility. She highlighted the need for empowering cities and communities, ending forced displacement, and protecting vulnerable communities as essential steps towards achieving sustainable urban development.

Rossbach also stressed the necessity of transforming housing finance to create more inclusive and resilient urban environments. Her remarks underscored the urgency of collective action in addressing the challenges faced by urban areas globally, emphasizing the role of community empowerment and public responsibility in driving change.
